As usual, you do a fantastic essay on Wong Kar Wai. If I had a suggestion, it would be to add a table of contents - this is a very long piece with many parts. I needed multiple sessions to finish it, and found it hard to get back to where I last stopped without some added navigation.
I really hope Kar Wai makes another movie. Hadn't realized it was 10 years since his last! Though he did make a bunch of remastered editions in 2021, I believe.

I've had trouble with internal linking, which is also why my table of contents page doesn't have its own ToC

It seems to generally work if you publish the article first then re-edit.
