Bandcamp is pretty good for physical and digital depending on the band. More money goes to the artist too as I understand it.

All true; but I’ll take crappy Netflix or Amazon prime over cable any day. Although now that I think about it, I’m not sure when we last watched Netflix- at this point, I think we keep it strictly for the holiday baking program.

I have to admit I read most of this just thinking 'why not just buy downloads from bandcamp'... And then you said iTunes, and it all made sense.

TBF, with my android phone and windows PC I've never actually gotten involved in the subscription model really - as you rightly say, it's just as cheap, and better for the artists, to just buy stuff direct. I do buy CDs and vinyl, but they usually come with MP3 downloads anyway, so the lack of CD player in the car has never really been a problem.
