I’m so sorry about your friend. Thinking about good times together helps, but really there’s no way to make sense of someone dying young. I’m very glad that you’re still around, even at almost 35. From my vantage point at 55, I agree with Todd: it really does keep getting better.

I, too, didn't think I'd make it to 30.
I'm 45 now. And like you, I don't much feel like dying anymore. And more like you, I have two sons... one who goes to high school next year.
