I appreciate that you emphasized the hyperviolence and offputting sexuality, and of course that it was a late night show. I am not very good at remembering childhood stuff, but everything around anime discoveries like Bebop is very vivid for me. Truly something never forgotten!
Yeah, it's funny what experiences burn their way into memory. There are so many things in life I don't remember, but certain experiences, especially relating to works of art, are just so deep inside me and so much a part of me that I'll never forget them.
