I hope Baltimore stays Baltimore forever.

I learned about Ghosts of East Baltimore because I saw Edward hollering about it somewhere on the internet, and so fiery was his passion that I was convinced to give it a read. Read it in two sittings (well, one standing, on the train, and one sitting) and then went on to evangelize it to my friends as well.

That put me onto the whole Broken River world and my life has never been the same.

Can't wait to read the new book. David Simmons is a genius.

Definitely need to check this out. At a glance it makes me think of Kelsey Ronan's debut novel Chevy in the Hole which is set in Flint and Detroit Michigan. I feel like I learned so much about life there from reading it.

Loved Kelsey's novel (and her playlist for it: https://largeheartedboy.com/blog/archive/2022/03/kelsey_ronans_p.html), will check out David's book!
