My name is Ineluki. I come from past the mountains and ice. It took me many days to reach here. All I know are dead. Will you take me in?
And so begins a calamitous year at the edge of the world.
Glossolalia, or don’t scream it on the mountain is the tragic story of Aukul’s year as chief of his village.
To be published September 27th.
The novella is inspired by Greenland, the Voynich Manuscript, Visitor Q, Strasbourg 1518, oral tradition, cultural identity, and, as always, the Tao Te Ching.
If that sounds like a lot to fit into a book, imagine what it’s like to be me, fella.
This novella was written in January of 2017 and has just sat on my computer since then without a word changed. And that wasn’t a great place for it, so I’m putting it out into the world now for all of you.
You can preorder it from Amazon. I would greatly appreciate if you did this, by the way. Preorders are a pretty big deal for driving books up the charts, which in turn gets them in front of more and more eyes.
If you’d like to add it on Goodreads, you can do that here. Assuming you’re the type of groovy cat to use Goodreads.
More to come on this, including giveaways and possibly a contest.
Cover art by my good friend Chris Olson.
Part of why I made a post full of paintings was to prepare you all for this cover art, which is deeply inspired by Giorgio de Chirico.
I love this cover. I love it so much and I’m deeply grateful to Chris for bringing it to life. It’s truly exactly what I wanted. Chris can do a lot of different styles, so if you’re looking for some artwork for something specific, get in touch.
Unfortunately, he’s not the easiest person to find on the internet, so you can reach out to me and I’ll reach out to him until he gets a website up and running.

If you get Chris to build a website, then he'll become all popular and he won't be able to do our stuff anymore!
