Newborn. I open my eyes. I melt. Into the eternal night. A spark. You got me out of the darkness. You gathered me up from earth. You’ve brought me back to life.
It boggles the mind, reeling through the years.
I still remember the moment I met you, when you turned away from your book to greet me as I stood there in our hostel room.
I’ll keep it brief but the post linked right above this sentence is me going long about this.
My life is good now. Better than it’s ever been. And it’s because of you and all you’ve given me.
You shall be my roots and
I will be your shade,
though the sun burns my leaves.
You shall quench my thirst and
I will feed you fruit,
though time takes my seed.
And when I'm lost and can tell nothing of this earth
you will give me hope.
And my voice you will always hear.
And my hand you will always have.
For I will shelter you.
And I will comfort you.
And even when we are nothing left,
not even in death,
I will remember you.
Winds of May, that dance on the sea,
Dancing a ring-around in glee
From furrow to furrow, while overhead
The foam flies up to be garlanded,
In silvery arches spanning the air,
Saw you my true love anywhere?
Welladay! Welladay!
For the winds of May!
Love is unhappy when love is away!
Emrys the Fool begins tomorrow so be sure to subscribe, if you’re into that kind of thing.
Here’s how: go to radicaledward.substack.com/account.
You should then see your account details, your type of subscription, but also your Notification settings.
Emrys the Fool is currently off. To turn it on, click it.
It should now look like this:
Easy peasy lemon squeezy, yeah?
When I release the first chapter, I’ll remind everyone as well.
You can always navigate over there from the Wolf homepage as well. The header now looks like this:
There’s no podcast and I’m not entirely sure what Chat is, but the rest of that is useful. So if you want to check in on Emrys the Fool, just click the appropriate section up there.
Howl is approaching 20 reviews on Amazon and I sure would like to get there before the release of Iron Wolf. The paperback is also only $9.99!
If you read and enjoyed Howl, please consider giving it a review or even just a rating.
Since I mentioned Iron Wolf, I should mention, too, that its ebook pre-order is ready.
The Colony Collapse paperback is also only $9.99! Again, I’d also very much appreciate any reviews that go up on Amazon. The Goodreads page has quite a few more reviews than Amazon for whatever reason.
Also, the ebook pre-order for The Blood Dancers is now up and ready for consumption! I don’t know why Amazon doesn’t let me make a paperback pre-order, but that’s life.
And now for some free books:
Congratulations and thank you for the wonderful pictures.
This is so beautiful! Happy anniversary to you both!
